Late, but worth a shot

When a recipe calls for two cloves of garlic, it’s only natural to toss in at least five.

We love garlic.

I know I am incredibly late in the growing season. Most garlic is planted around October or November. We are heading into February, but I decided to give it a go anyhow. Everything is a learning experience and since we have never grown garlic before, I am diving head first into blogs. I am reading everything I can about growing garlic. Fortunately, the general consensus is that garlic grows easily. Being only a thirty minute drive from the capital of garlic, Gilroy, California, I feel the late start will be my only hindrance. Garlic has a long growing season of nine months, so it will be a while before we can hopefully enjoy.

Until then, a lot of work is to be done.
